Finally And so, the last project use up post for year 2014.

Has been very lazy (as usual).. but have been working on finishing products that I have stocked up.
I do have to confess that I’m only update here so that I can clear off these empties from my dressing table :S

Oct
Laneige Sunpact powder.
Got it in Korea some years ago, due to the nice looking slide out casing. Did not find anything fantastic about the powder though.

Face powder

Nov
Senka Perfect Oil and free cleanser from Korea.
These are the last in my stash, and I just discovered that I have a similar looking photo of these in Aug. Same position, same angle!!

Cleansers

Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum (Sample)
Got this some time back from one of the warehouse sale. And if you can see that this is not the latest formula, you would have known how long I have kept this. Efficacy wise, I found it useless on spots (mine are stubborn and I didn’t use it long enough), while very effective in giving my face a nice bright glow just after a few use.

RMK Cream foundation
This is simply my Holy Grail. I finally found my perfect match and formula, that I even managed to finish everything!
But alas…. they reformulated this thing, and the new one is simply too creamy for my liking. I need a creamy but not so creamy??

Dec
It’s been a long long time since I finish a full tub of face or eye cream, and with all the persistent usage, I’ve managed to complete both this (dec 14) month.

Bioessence 24K Bio-Gold Age Reverse Clear Cream
Hmm.. quite on the fence on this. Bought this as its advert claim to be able to tackle neck lines.
However, being a lazy bum, I only use this on my face. No significant improvements that I noticed.

Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel
This is also the OLDer formula. Got it in Korea, not that many years back.
Lightweight enough for everyday use, but still powerful enough to hydrate the skin of my under eye area.

Ok, closure to 2014 of project used up 😀 and hopefully you (and me) do not have to wait too long for the next entry. 🙂

With a blink of the eye, August is way over.

Been really busy recently with things in my life.
Finally taking a breather… and before I lost my list again (or memory), here are the stuffs that were cleaned out during the past 2 months.

August 2014

Cleansing routine:

cleansing combi

cleansing combi

Grabbed a few bottles of Senka perfect oil during my last trip to Hong Kong, as they are much cheaper there. As for the Korean cleanser, it came free with my mega spendings during my honeymoon to Korea in 2013.

How they fare: Normal, acceptable level. Repurchase? Yes, why not?

Post cleansing:

toner, essence and moisturizer

toner, essence and moisturizer

Shu Uemura anti-aging toner sample that I got as a GWP (gift with purchase) during one of my holiday trips to Hong Kong.
Biotherm skin vivo essence complimentary sample that I got from Tangs during my birthday month. Wasn’t supposed to be this discontinued product, but since it’s free.. I didn’t want to complain.
Etude House Moistfull cream bought during the honeymoon. This range is very affordable in Korea. No fantastic results after using, but it is still not too bad.

September 2014

Shu Uemura blush and Miss Dior Cherie fragrance

Shu Uemura blush and Miss Dior Cherie fragrance

Shu Uemura blush! My first Shu Uemura blush that was from the old range. Have been using this for forever and it’s shade 33E, a really very nice, natural and suitable for every occasion.
Miss Dior Cherie fragrance that I got years ago too. Being bad with descriptions, I can only say that this fragrance has a sweet yet strong, not overwhelming and lasting smell. More lasting than the mild mild Dior Addict 2 that I also own.

Willingness to repurchase? Yup!

and finally, there’s a new post!!!

After losing the entire list of products that were cleared during the previous year, I’ve finally decided not to procrastinate (so much)…

Other than the usual items that will use up really fast, like cleansers, I’ve managed to clear something that I have been using for a long long time.

Look here

Lancome sunshield & Genifique

Lancome sunshield & Genifique

Got the UV-Expert Gn-shield from one of the outlets when I was honeymooning in Korea last year.
Prior to buying this, I had actually tried the sample and love the glowing look that it gives me. A precious tube of product that I decided not to keep (but to use), after my chanced discovery of an entire army of sun spots lurking on my cheek and under eye area. It’s high potency makes me feel safe. Now that it’s all gone… T.T

Genifique. Have heard so much good things that it will do. Got this in DFS some years ago, a 100ml travel exclusive.
Once paired with Visionaire from the same brand, and they really worked wonders on my pores. No joke!
After my 30ml of Visionaire was used up (some years ago), I have been using this either alone or with some other hydrating essence. I can’t say for sure if it works well enough alone.. since I’ve failed to spot an entire army of sun spots taking over my cheeks.. I can only say that it does not give me any problem during the entire period of using it.

Someday, I’m going to buy them all again!
Till then. (I actually meant – until I clear up more items from my inventory)

:p

Ahhh… second half of the year…

I’m so glad that I can finally start using some new skincare after clearing all these!!
Faceshop Eco Therapy Cream

The Faceshop Arsainte Eco-therapy Extreme Moisture Essential Cream – Such a long name… but it is actually a face cream to be use after your toners, serums, emulsions. Actually I started using this tub of cream since last year, and then swap to something else ‘cos I was bored.

It is mild and not sticky, always my go to face moisturizer when I have issues with my face – pimples. It is not ultra moisturizing as its name suggest, but didn’t dry my dehydrated face as well.

Albion Skin Conditioner

Albion Skin Conditioner – One of the most popular face lotions in Japan, and is said to be able to solve many face problems from pimples to radiance. Reminds me of Kose’s Sekkisei lotion.

On the fence for this product. Don’t know if it works or not… Might grab another bottle to try again in the future, but not for now.

Albion EXAGE Lotions

Albion EXAGE Lotions (moisturizing and whitening)  samples – got these as GWP. Didn’t like them. Preferred using Skin Conditioner to these.

Albion EXAGE White Milk

Albion EXAGE White Milk – One of the more popular products in Japan too.. But, I just cannot learn how to appreciate it. Feels very drying for me  even though the II stands for normal skin. I had to top up a moisturizing serum and face cream after using this + Skin con.

If I were to repurchase, I would probably pick the moisturizing line instead of whitening.

Ichikami Hair Essence

Ichikami Hair Serum – One of the very good drugstore serums that I do not bear to finish. Was good enough to tame my curls (when I had them), and does not feel sticky.

Will repurchase, after I’m done with my ‘impressive’ collection of hair oils… =.=”

Fancl Eye Gel

Etude House Skin Mal:gem Deep moist freshener sample – Honestly does not feel deep moist, or am I really drying up??!! Feels normal.

Fancl Resteye gel – Quite good but definitely not the best. Did not give me any milia seeds.

Lancome Cleansing Fluid

Lancome Gentle Softening Cleansing Fluid Face and Eyes sample – Got this as GWP when I purchased my Genifique years back. Mild and cleanses light makeup well – I always use cream foundation, and thus this does not work for me + I am not a cleansing milk person.

Yah.. I’ve broken my self imposed ban before my BKK trip on Sunday… Just because the Perfect Whip cleanser comes with a zip pouch and Hoshitsu lotion R. Faintz..

I’m currently using the Perfect whip cleansing foam now, and it have the ‘I won’t hurt you’ feel. Just a little pricey for a simple drugstore brand at $12.90

EHalf a year flew past.. :S

and I haven’t really finish using much products from my stash. Nevertheless, it is quite an improvement for this month.

2013-06-27 09.26.09

Laneige Water Bank Essence sample – a very popular hydrating essence that does not do anything to me. This sample contains only 15ml of the essence, but took me forever to finish. o_O

Don’t get discourage by my feedback as this works for many people. Try to get your hands on some samples if you are keen to try.
2013-06-27 17.58.42

Cleansing Express Eye Makeup Remover (now called Bifesta) – Most powerful yet gentle eye makeup remover that I have ever used. Cheap and good, able to remove even the toughest mascara. But since I seldom use mascara or other waterproof eye makeup, this lasted me a good long time.

2013-06-24 14.03.17

Freshel Moist Lift Moisture Soap – Chance upon this selling cheaply during Kanebo’s warehouse sale. The pump dispenses a thick dense foam that makes washing the face a pleasant thing to do. Nope, this does not belong to the list of recalled products by Kanebo.

Now.. Is my face big or what? I have been using 1 new cleanser every month. *horrors*

2013-07-01 14.25.51

Albion Exage Hydrating Serum sample – Got this as part of the door gift for Albion’s Launch Party last year. On the fence on this product, but do not think that I will ever buy it again since there are so many cheaper and better options around.

2013-06-25 15.02.47

Hada Labo UV Moist Emulsion – Got this from Watsons. For someone who highly prefers creamy sunblocks, I absolutely approve of this liquid sunblock. Works wonderfully as a sunblock and makeup base.

2013-06-16 16.32.47

Clarins Shaping Facial Lift – A very popular face lifting serum. When I bought this, I was promised that this works to give me a more even complexion and radiance. This only manage to make my jaw area look more define. Better than nothing rite? I still have another bottle (bought the twin pack as it is much cheaper), and will probably get a bottle of double serum to use together.

2013-06-08 20.41.30

Ponds Pure White Makeup Removing Foam – what can I say about this??!! Please do NOT buy this, as it only works on removing very light makeup. You don’t want your pores to clog because of makeup that’s not being washed off properly rite?

2013-06-03 15.29.22

Clarins Gentle Refiner Exfoliating cream with microbeads sample – I think this is one of the more popular products…  Works quite well.. Hmm.. Actually I don’t know much about exfoliators since my face cannot go through extensive scrubbing. Exfoliators to me, either do not work or feels ok.

2013-06-10 18.43.21

Etude House Skin Mal:geml Smoother sample – got this when I made my purchase in Korea. Lots of raves for this exfoliating toner, but I am not sure if it works since the sample size is too small.

Not a bad list of things that I have managed to complete in the past month right? I’m almost done using up some full sized creams and lotions. Hopefully can get them into the trash this month. 🙂

The weather in Singapore has been so hazy for the past week.

Received an sms from The Faceshop earlier today, and went down to Vivo to collect my free kit. 2 sachets of whitening scrub, 2 sachets of pore care mask and 2 sachets of hydrating sleeping mask. I would say that they are very appropriate for the current weather! Would be even better if sunblock is included. Haha

Thanks, The Face Shop. 😉

Fast, fast, fast. It’s June already, and here’s the skincare products that I have managed to use up in the month of May.

Fancl MCO

Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil (MCO) – This product is no stranger here, my favorite cleansing oil. Removes all traces of makeup without the need of emulsifying the oil. Cushioned feeling when applied on skin. Not oily or runny (at least to me).

Shiseido White Lucent

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam sample – Got this during the Shiseido sale last year. Able to lather into really thick foam that is very comfy for washing. Friend told me that after using this, her face actually brightens up, though no visible results for me (didn’t actually pay enough attention).

Shiseido Purifying

Shiseido The Skincare Purifying Cleansing Foam sample – Got this from the same Shiseido sale last year. This is a gentle foaming cleanser that contains micro beads. Able to lather into the same foamy texture as the White Lucent foam. Micro beads for gentle exfoliation and suitable for everyday use (checked with the staff). Didn’t break me out and gives me a clean wash.

SANA Nature Resource Skin Lotion

SANA Natural Resource Skin Lotion M – Not sure what ‘M’ means, but I guessed it’s Mild. As my skin is sensitive to all kinds of nonsense I tried, this is a safe option to fall back on. Suitable for sensitive skin, and if I’m not wrong, they do not contain preservatives. Or was it alcohol?? I suspect that I’m allergic to alcohol in skincare…

Haha.. Too too too lazy. But I’ve managed to convinced myself to continue with this list to motivate myself to stick to the same set of skincare till it’s used up.

Have realize that while buzzing around doing stuffs for the wedding, I’d forgotten to take pictures of some of the emptied products before discarding. :S

January

SAMSUNG

Fancl Washing Powder – have used up many of these years before. Got this again when the sensitive bumps on my face refused to clear up. Very good when used with a foaming ball to create lots of foam.

Eucerin  Demo Purifyer Active Concentrate – been using this acne essence when I have bad bumps on my face. It’s good at doing its job and not dry up my face at the same time.

Fancl Skin Renewal Pack (no picture) – have used up many tubes of this too. It’s a wash off mask that helps to hydrate and brightens the skin. Not very obvious results, but there is…

Albion Skin Conditioner soap (no picture) – This is a small sample that was included in the goodie bag of Albion’s launch party some time back. As it’s a piece of soap, there’s nothing left for picture taking when I’m done using it. :p

Quite a good piece of soap I would say. Foams up really well using only hands and water. My face feels happy and relaxed after using it.

February

Feb 1

Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil – My favorite cleansing oil. Need say more?

Feb 2

Lancome Visionaire Emulsion sample – got this when I bought my first bottle of Genifique essence. Powerful but not overly rich. Moisturizes well.

Shiseido Purifying Cleansing Foam sample – got this from the Shiseido warehouse sale. Contains micro beads, but is still mild enough for everyday usage. Lathers up and cleans really well.

The Face Shop Peeling Day White Jewel – a mild cooling sensation from the minty scrub. Did not see any visible clarity after using, thus do not like this. 😦

SK II Facial Treatment Essence – This has to be my most expensive bottle of skincare ever, from my hubby. This is really a miracle water!!! Significant brightening effect when using this, effects can be seen as fast as a week. But alas!!! The glow disappears the very next day I stop using. T.T sobz

Feb 3

RMK cleansing oil samples – Actually finished using 2 bottles of these. Got them from my RMK purchase in Hong Kong. OILY, loved the smell, and it does remove every single trace of makeup.

March

Nothing much. Just this 2 bottles of samples during my honeymoon.

March 1

Beauty Credit Ecopure Moist Fore Essential Toner and Emulsion sample – Mild yet moisturizing enough for my sensitive skin, when topped up with another moisturizing essence. Good enough for the bitter mid March weather in Korea.

April

Apr 1

Biore Facial Foam Mild – Got this from Watsons during my birthday month last year. Free. I don’t know why.

I’d always remembered the blue cleanser from Biore as nice smelling, but skin tightening cleanser. Most people commented about the tightness. But strangely this tube of cleanser did not give me any tight feeling. Change of formula??

April 2

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Refining Softener Light sample – got this in the White Lucent sample pack during Shiseido’s warehouse sale last year. I think it really brighten up my face, but I’m not too sure if the alcohol caused any allergy reactions since my face can react badly for no apparent reason.

Faceshop Flebeaute White crystal brightening skin toner, skin emulsion sample – I usually shun whitening products in fear that they might cause allergy reactions to my face. But these two did the hydrating job well enough. As for whitening, I’m not too sure though.

Till end of this month~
